Flake floors are the workhorse of epoxy — and the finish most of our customers end up choosing. Epoxy Solutions installs full-broadcast vinyl flake systems across Sarasota and the Southwest Florida Gulf Coast — Sarasota, Manatee, Charlotte, Lee, and Collier Counties: garages, lanais, entries, laundry rooms, and any slab that needs to look sharp and take abuse.
Full broadcast means we don’t sprinkle a few chips into wet epoxy and call it a day. The slab gets diamond-ground and repaired, a pigmented base coat goes down, flake is broadcast to complete coverage, scraped smooth, and locked under a durable clear topcoat.
The result earns its keep: the texture adds grip underfoot, the multi-tone blend hides dust and sand better than any solid color, and the sealed surface rinses clean instead of soaking up stains. With dozens of color blends, it fits everything from a beach cottage to a new build.
Plenty of installers scatter a handful of chips and charge full-broadcast prices. Dense, edge-to-edge coverage is the difference in both durability and looks.
A flake floor is only as good as its bond. The slab should be diamond-ground so the base coat anchors into the concrete — acid-etch-and-pour is how floors end up peeling.
The topcoat takes the abuse. Outdoors it also needs to be UV-stable so the floor doesn’t amber in the Florida sun.
